The upgrades weren’t all visual though, the Apple A4 processor (first used in the iPad) provided a much-needed boost the iPhone’s operating system, making opening and switching between apps noticeably more efficient.
The iPhone camera was next on the upgrade list.
It seems Apple were not satisfied with improving the device’s picture quality through the addition of a 5 megapixel rear camera and LED flash. A small 0.3 megapixel camera was mounted to the front screen to facilitate Apple’s Facetime call feature and act as an alternative filming tool with 480 p video recording at 30 frames per second.
All of these features are rendered irrelevant if you are suffering a cracked lens, malfunctioning flash or non-operating shutter. Luckily, these problems are fairly superficial and can be resolved in a matter of minutes through simple part replacement, all at your convenience.
